The good, the bad and the ugly. (well, not so much good, some bad, and lotsa ugly.)

#12 - Curt "Captain" Price
Curt has been captaining teams for over 15 years and has played for various teams. He was a founding member of the world famous Hometown "Fightin' " Phone Books and part of their championship run in 1999. Curt also won a championship with his Metro East Moose team in 2003. That was the same season in which he heroically, from the bench, stopped a fist with his face. Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, Curt once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants.

#24 - Chris "The Steed" Schmieder
"The Steed" is a steady force on offense, however...his claim to fame might be his over 20 minutes in penalty minutes in the championship game vs. the G-Men in 1999. He got into a scuffle with big Jim, it was caught on video and everything. Despite Chris' best efforts, we still won the game. Chris doesn't know losing from fly, and critics worldwide swoon over his original line of corduroy evening wear.

#18 - Pat "Big Game" Peterson
Mr. Peterson has a reputation for being clutch....especially in the playoffs. Pat seems to have the rare ability to step up in important games. Pat has won two championships. He spent last season playing for one of the spinoff Moose teams, called...are you ready for this?.... The Moose. Pat Peterson does not perspire.

#00 - Luke "I Am Your Father " Naliborski
Luke was rescued from the Edwardsville YMCA Pickup League last season and is a newcomer to the franchise. He joined Team Cobra at mid-season last year and got better and better as the season went on. Naliborski has a wrist shot faster than most slapshots and has an uncanny ability to pick corners. Last summer, Luke toured New Jersey with a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration team.

#16 - Andy "Randy" Stehl - Forward
Stehl first joined this franchise prior to the Phone Book's historic championship season back in 1999. Back then, Andy played a supporting role and finished 3rd or 4th in scoring that year. Now andy is one of our primary scorers and is constantly near the top of the stat sheet. But Andy is taking this session off to better mentally prepare for marriage in late April of '06. This officially classifies Andy as a puss. Andy can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and he can cook Thirty-Minute brownies in twenty minutes.

#7 - Greg "Inks Kick" Price
One of three Prices on S.O.A.P., Brother to Curt and cousin to Jeff, Greg is one of the better players in the league. He's a bear to beat one on one and racks up the points even though he gets fewer chances on defense. Greg has won two championships with this franchise and has captained Team Cobra in the past. On Wednesdays, after school, Greg repairs electrical appliances free of charge.

#33 - Bill "Billdo" Day
Bill is a long time franchise member and is coming off a successfull season with Havel's Moose team. Bill rejoins the franchise and adds a much needed booming shot from the point. Day backstopped the original Moose team to it's only championship back in 2003. Day also won a championship with the Fightin' Phone Books in 1999. Bill sleeps once a week; when he does sleep, he sleeps in a chair.

#2 - Jeff "The Australian" Foster
Jeff's nickname was given to him by fellow defender Greg Price...which to this day remains one of the greatest things ever said in a locker room. #2 has played on various teams throughout his career and has won two championships with this franchise. We don't call him "Jeff"...he is "Foster", because our other Jeff (Jeff Price) can't be called "Price" because there are other prices on the team so HE must be called "Jeff". Foster breeds prize-winning clams.

#00 - JC "The Lord " Wilson
JC is a newcomer to the Phone Book/Moose/S.O.A.P. empire. He was recruited due to his consistent play and because he isn't an ass. JC continues to impress and seems to get better and better each season and will be a valuable asset to the S.O.A.P this season. JC has made extraordinary four course meals using only a mouli and a toaster oven.

#33 - Jeff "Stitches" Price
Jeff is a long time member of this franchise....but he primarily played defense in the past and would fill in once in a while in net. Jeff has spent the past six months fine tuning his puck stopping skills at the YMCA Edwardsville Pickup League. Jeff is the franchise's all-time facial laceration leader. While on vacation in Canada, Jeff successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who has seized a small bakery.

#66 - Tom "Grandpa" Gibbons - Goalie
Gibbons has been a goalie since the wheel was invented. Last season he was between the pipes for Team Cobra and has backstopped numerous teams, including many teams over many years at Oak Hill. Gibbons only uses one hand to lace his skates, only because he's holding a beer in the other. Tom has won bullfights in San Juan, cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka and spelling bees at the Kremlin.

#00 - Bob "Don't call me Austin" Powers - Forward
Some of you may remember Bob from the old ballhockey days at The Ball Park in O'Fallon, IL.  Last season, Mr. Powers played on Greg's team, Team Cobra. Bob is a sleek passer and has good hands around the net. He is by far the best hockey player I have ever seen that wears batting gloves under his hockey gloves. Bob has played Hamlet, he has performed open-heart surgery, and he has spoken with Elvis.
